September 14, 2022: ANNOUNCEMENT: Ranges of Available SRECs; Qualification Forms due October 5
Atlantic City Electric Company (“ACE”), Jersey Central Power & Light Company (“JCP&L”), Public Service Electric and Gas Company (“PSE&G”), and Rockland Electric Company (“RECO”) will be holding an auction to sell Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (“SRECs”) on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Qualifications are due by 12 PM (noon) EPT on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.
Product Offering. In this upcoming Auction, there will be available between 1,000 and 2,000 2020 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2019 and May 31, 2020, between 1,700 and 3,000 2022 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022, and between 87,000 and 130,000 2023 SRECs created in GATS as generation between June 1, 2022 and September 30, 2022. In addition, it is expected that at the conclusion of the Auction, bidders will have the opportunity to submit a bid for a single block of 2021 SRECs. The block is expected to contain fewer than 500 SRECs.
Bid assurance collateral is not required for this auction. Interested parties must qualify by submitting an online qualification form. The Auction Manager will provide additional instructions regarding the completion of the online qualification form on a new platform (https://njsrec-application.com/) in separate email correspondence.
